The Green Drinks group of Ames will be meeting on Thursday, June 11th at 6:30pm, at Stomping Grounds. That's the unmarked cafe at the corner of Welch Ave and Hunt Street in Campustown. Last time, Scott Williams talked about biodiesel and ISU BioBus. Coming up next: Rich Schuler. Rich has had a solar panel on his roof for two years, during which he's meticulously kept track of his household (and personal transportation) energy use, and noticed some interesting things. Rich is also advisor to PrISUm, the ISU solar car team. Did you know Green Drinks is bigger than Ames? Friends and family elsewhere might have a meeting place near them: http://greendrinks.org/ We've got a local page here (spread the word!): http://greendrinks.org/index.php?country=USA&city=Ames,%20Iowa Thank you, Dan Rasmussen and Jeff Hall From dan.rasmussen at gmail.com Wed Jun 10 10:11:31 2009 From: dan.rasmussen at gmail.com (Dan Rasmussen) Date: Wed, 10 Jun 2009 10:11:31 -0500 Subject: [Greendrinks-announce] Green Drinks meets tomorrow - Thursday Message-ID: Hello All, The Green Drinks group of Ames will be meeting on Thursday, June 11th at 6:30pm, at Stomping Grounds. That's the unmarked cafe at the corner of Welch Ave and Hunt Street in Campustown. We'll meet outside if the weather is nice. Our guest this month is Rich Schuler. Rich has had a solar panel on his roof for two years, during which he's meticulously kept track of his household (and personal transportation) energy use, and noticed some interesting things. Rich is also adviser to PrISUm, the ISU solar car team. He's fresh back from Texas, where the team competed in Formula Sun Grand Prix, a solar car race. They took 8th place, despite damage from a nearby lightning strike. In case you missed it last time: Did you know Green Drinks is bigger than Ames?
