The Green Drinks group of Ames will be meeting on Thursday, July 9th at 6:30pm, at Stomping Grounds. That's the unmarked cafe at the corner of Welch Ave and Hunt Street in Campustown. Our previous guest was Rich Schuler, who discussed solar power as well as household and vehicular energy use. Our next guest is Anne Kimber. She's the Director of Energy Services at the Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities. She has also served on the utility board for the city of Ames. Come learn more about how green energy works locally, what other cities are doing, and what we can do for efficiency and renewable energy. CyRide is fare-free for five more weeks! Hopefully you're taking advantage (or walking, or riding a bike...) It's a good time to learn how the bike racks work, if you haven't done that yet. Thank you, Dan Rasmussen and Jeff Hall From dan.rasmussen at gmail.com Thu Jul 9 11:07:35 2009 From: dan.rasmussen at gmail.com (Dan Rasmussen) Date: Thu, 9 Jul 2009 11:07:35 -0500 Subject: [Greendrinks-announce] Green Drinks: Today!
